Ask her to rethink whether SMU Biz style of teaching is really suitable for her. Decision was firmed up after we visited the NUS/NTU/SMU open houses and asked lots of questions at the Biz and Econs booths.
My daughter will go for Econs. Probably Econs to pair up with something else later on. Econs with Data Sc, Business Analytics or Quantitative Finance. These will come later

Good that she understands herself. I also switched to a much more backend job because of my personality. Doesn't mean I can't meet people and talk, but the job didn't require so much of that. Yes, progression is slower, but as long as they can hold a decent job, I don't think it's a big deal.

its either a double major or Major and minor right? i think in this area, smu offers more flexibility to mix n match
among the courses it offered., i recalled NUS not so much flexibility on offering minor courses, plus student got to be eligible , chosen not sure any interview or not , right from the start of submitting nus applications

campus in city, save time on transport. every day can wear nice nice, alot of nice food around. use student transport pass can go chinatown, honglim, market street for delicious lunches (cheaper ones if need be)

Why don’t u enrol directly into DSE or DSA? I don’t think DSE can’t pair up later can u? cos the first year modules from DSE is different from the CHS common curriculum. That’s what I heard at the OH.

CHS = College of Humanities and Sciences

DSE = Data Science and Economics - this is a direct-entry, crossdisciplinary degree offered by NUS CHS.

We are in the midst of waiting for the Uni applications outcomes before we further evaluate which offer to accept. I feel that each Uni, be it their location or course curriculum each has their strengths and weaknesses. A bit premature to conclude anything yet as of now.
