So NickleBee does have GEP prep class and conducted one-to-one by the principal?

I remember reading in KSP about some parents who shared about their rate for GEP prep, something like $125/hr and each lesson is 2hrs long. That’s $250 per lesson!
I checked the NickleBee website. No GEP preparatory classes. *confused*

Can you help me confirm if NickleBee has GEP preparatory classes?

The $250 per lesson rate is for the NickleBee small group classes. I was quoted that rate for their math olympiad classes and the advanced P4 school math classes.

It’s written in their ads, and their staff/supporters come in regularly to advertise.

Hi! Checking in with those parents whose kids have gone thru p6… does anyone know, for DSA, what’s the maximum AL overall for p5/6 GEP to be considered for DSA (academic) for top schools?

Also, in general, how do gep kids do for psle?

Hmm… You can write in to those schools to ask them.

I have no children applied for DSA, but from what I gathered after watching YouTube video on NYGH answering questions on DSA into that school, GEP or not has no bearing on DSA acceptance. there are many factors they consider and it can differ for each year as each batch’s applicants profiles can be different- a particular year they can see many high achievers and the standard will be raised for that year. They did mentioned GEP will not have priority over non GEP. They will look at performance during selection test/interview, look at passion- these are some of the selection criteria. They did mentioned whether the students can cope with the demand of the school curriculum is one of the thing they assess too. That is where P5/6 performance Is considered and they mentioned they are knowledgeable in different curriculums (different schools’ + GEP i suppose) and know how to adjust for them to assess students from different curriculums on the same fair level.

It should be the same practice for all top schools.
