Wld require to provide personal contact and particulars details? Usually survey would ask for some of these.
I normally ask if they need my numbers, i would not take part.

How to verify if such surveys are legit?

Our nation has to depend more on foreign labour coz more new gen not willing to have children.
Foreign talents or workers are here to work and contribute, based on needs so no choice and usually there are rigorous selection processes 🙏. But how abt their tag alongs?
These days, even on public transport, more speak their own languages loudly than our own 4. Can tell apart. 4 langs are usually spoken mindfully in public. They know no one can understand their own lang so speaking so freely and loudly. Some are decent people, giving up seats to our older folks or new mummies etc.
Notice that, more foreigners are working for hawker stalls, as employees? Some can even speak very decent Mandarin than locals... But look like our domestic helpers... Not verified though, just noticed so....

Does this mean Sg locals are all driving? So saying that this is actually a good sign?

Haven't been to east coast park since before covid until recently. So different now. Fully utilised by non locals who truly appreciate our natire reserves, parks and beaches. Saw so many tents, barbecues and group singing with music blasting. The rubbish left behind is quite an eyesore though.

Knowing our g are capable and know to keep the numbers under control and monitored closely. But the impression on the ground portrayed a different backdrop... And becoming the foreground slowly. That's why ppl are asking....

Looks like we have painted our own picture.
TBH, I’ve seen how some foreign MNCs will favour their own. I worked with one petroleum giant & during an economic downturn, which their in-house economist predicted, they started getting us HR to scrutinize PA & HODs hv to monitor targets to be met & flag out poor performers. Then all the letters start getting generated (some with compensations) but that was one of the lowest point for eyees & morale were at it’s all time low. Next moment, you see them sending their HQ staff over as expats to fill up jobs. What can we say then? It’s a foreign owned not SMEs & back then, SMEs weren’t coined.

Now, even with SMEs, they’ll try to use foreigners for cost management & whenever they can, M’sians are sought after to overcome the quota hurdle. MOM hv stepped up with stringent quotas & higher based salary rqmt. Despite, these orn find ways to cheat the system. Govt can do as much to catch up with creative cheaters but it’s like cat chasing mouse ard the house.

Last decade to-date, we’ve orgns putting pressure on eyees under veiled resignation. You can’t take the new r’qmts, u’ll be zeroed in till you feel the heat or paiseh just toss in the letter. Companies save up on retrenchment packages.

Tough life but that’s the reality of life these days.

Lol. That would be me... these days I even pick up the phone without speaking until the other party says something first 😆 I think 1 out of 100 people would entertain doing a survey, even more so over a phone.
My brother’s friend works as a bank’s telemarketer and the friend said turnover among this group is extremely high. Some didn’t even turn up for work after trying for a week. I guess the feeling of being phone slammed is horrible.

But, this friend persevered and even roped in his wife to join him. Fast forward, both of them doing so well at telemarketing that the couple bought a FH condo from the bank’s commission. 😂 So, every trade still has its winners!!

The survey person said my identity will be kept anonymous but she called my number wor, am sure she knows whom she talked to. Should be legit because I did a similar tele survey by the same company regarding whether females should also serve NS, some time back.

Oh dear, I was full of hope for Singapore until you reminded me of the challenges Singapore is facing. Lol. I concur with you because recently, at a fast food chain, I saw a family of 3 (of PRC origin) who left after eating, without clearing their own trays. And I encountered in a few occasions, FTs standing at zebra crossing, flagging my car to go first. Weird. So my conclusion is, the Govt didn’t do a good job in integrating the newcomers into our society.

Hey, all these shouldn’t be PM Wong’s fault right? He just took over!

How about the free watch from Healthy365? It's nothing fanciful, but will do its job monitoring steps and sleep.
I've bought and used like 4 or 5 fitbits over the years and they all conked out after only a year in service. That makes me very pissed over what seemed to be an \"evil\" scheme from fitbit. I still have the original free watch from Healthy365 (over 6 years ago) and the last I checked, it is still working fine.

Of course not. I am with you, hopeful about the new team too 😃

Sg has been and is good at making long term plans and stick to it. Spoken to younger gen, raising sea level doesn't concern them. But alr our policy markers have long embarked in preparing for it. Like how we started building our reserves. We should keep doing what we are good at.

Population and labour force issues and policies are not easy topics to tackle. That's why they are calling out to academics for their take on it.

😂 Exactly my same thoughts too!
The surveyor sounds like the same auntie who called me 2yrs ago (unless all aunties sound the same). Maybe for each 5-10mins survey completed, the surveyor gets $20 comm. lol

Your questions also sound interesting leh, maybe from MOM side.
