Not sure I like the new look - prefer the boxes around the individual messages. And the quote feature doesn’t work. I guess CKS is busy ironing out the kinks!

Besides the issue with quote feature that was mentioned, has anyone encountered problem accessing certain threads or is it just me? >_<\"

Just want to check which is better way to pay local uni tuition fees . CPF or cash ?

Or Is it possible for child to pay back at one go lump sum after graduation into parent CPF account ? As in we no need child to pay us back tuition fees by installment into parent CPF acct.
Currently looks like paying by CPF is more worth while as the market interest rate can fetch higher fr other investment , CPF monies earn 2.5% only in ordinary acct .
Any advise or comments ? Thank you 😊

We just paid cash as we couldn't be bothered to find out about using CPF!

Here's the info from NUS which I just looked up:
                https://nus.edu.sg/oam/financial-aid/schemes-for-tuition-fees-and-or-living-costs/cpf-education-loan-scheme#:~:text=You%20can%20use%20your%20own,Loan%20Scheme%20Information%20%28FAQs%29.

                  slmkhoo,

yah a chunk of info a sounds complicated, i getting lazy to read too.
also to note, need to pay back cpf acct the accrued interest , imagine if i pay back lump sum of abt $50K + 2.5 accrued interest yearly into my cpf acct … hmmm vs pay $11+/$12k yearly for 4 yrs in cash mode

btw, KSP reply with quote and reply msg with quite function seem not user friendly , cannot find the cursor to type

If take out from cpf, it is a lump sum or also $11/12k a year? If can take out lump sum, you can start earning interest on the unused portion.

                      withdrawal fr cpf is yearly.

i just found that can got for bank loan, seem like interest free during study and start payment uponm grad,
but not sure how the interest really kick in . if upon grad, pay immediately all the loan amt of 4 yrs eg $50k , is it no need
to pay interest …at all ? if really no need to pay interest once clear off loan few months before grad, that will be helpful for alot of students and families .

I don’t dare to post because it seems each time I post it would lock up the thread. In any case, because of the troubles we have with the current site, we are forced to roll out the new site on AWS asap within the next few days. I will post updates on this when I receive them. I pray that everything will be ok and that the migration will be smooth and trouble-free.
