Most popular is Chongfu, Huamin and Northland. You can ballot if <1km. Else choose the most convenient.

Hi all,

Not sure if this thread is still alive but I am currently in the midst of choosing a primary school for my boy entering Pri 1 in 2025. Unfortunately, we can only go for Phase 2C.
These are the schools within 1km of our house - Naval Base and PeiYing
Schools within 1-2km - Northland and Jiemin.

I know Northland is the most popular one but based on last year’s results, way over subscribed.
I heard from a teacher friend that PeiYing is a pretty good school.
Also, saw that Naval Base and Jiemin has good CCAs like Taekwondo, football and floorball which Peiying does not have.

What are your thoughts, especially for parents with kids in those 4 schools? Would love to hear your thoughts as I did not grow up in Yishun.

Northland is impossible to get in at 1-2km in phase 2C. If you are interested in those CCAs, then naval base would be a good choice.

@ChiefKiasu hi did your kids go to naval base primary school? Any feedback on it? How important is CCA in primary school or is academic quality more important? Thank you!
