Mr Quek’s Profile
Mr Quek believes in motivating and developing student’s interest in Math so that they can understand the link connecting the various concepts and strengthen their problem-solving skills.
Formerly Math lecturer for Diploma and Advanced Diploma program in Singapore Poly, Math/Physics lecturer for Degree Program in MDIS, Associate Lecturer for Computer Science Degree Program in SIM-UKOU and Associate Faculty for Math in Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Mr Quek completed his O-Level in River Valley and A-Level in NJC.
He graduated from NUS in 1988 with a Bachelor in Engineering. He then pursued his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering in NUS and Master of Business Administration in SIM-UKOU (Now SUSS).
Mr Quek is an experienced Maths Olympiad Trainer and has been conducting training for both primary and secondary schools since 1999 with a reputable Maths Olympiad training service provider - RECMEL. The schools include NUS High, Nan Hua High, Cedar Girls Sec, Ngee Ann Sec, Anderson Sec, Raffles Girls Sec, Yuan Ching Sec, Methodist Girls, Singapore Chinese Girls, St Hilda’s Primary, Woodgrove Primary, Tao Nan Sch, Kong Hwa Sch etc.
He was a trainer in The Math Classroom from 2017 to 2019.
Since 1994, Mr Quek has conducted several tutorial sessions and lectures on Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology for Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree programs at various higher learning institutions. He also has many years of teaching experience in O-Level Math, A-Level Math and IB Maths. He had guided students from local schools, including Nanyang Girls, Nan Hua High, Fuhua Sec, Yuhua Sec, Holy Innocents High, St Joseph Inst, Yishun JC, Jurong JC etc and students from Overseas Family School.

NMOS 2024 result was released to schools.
So far, I have 2 students obtained Silver, 1 student got Bronze, and 1 student got Honorable Mention.
Well, not in the top 1.5%, but good enough to be among the top 40%.
More important is that they enjoyed and learnt from the program, and that would help them to do better in school exam and PSLE.
