Care to share more on Horizon Primary School? How’s the communication between teachers and parents? Well organised? Also, how’s the academic and CCA levels?

I'm totally freaking out after reading relevant threads & now in total confusion! LOL

I'm staying in Punggol.
My girl is a lacto-vegetarian.
My choices of school was initially Rivervale & Mee Toh, due to their availability of vegetarian stalls. However, both are 1-2km from my place, that puts me 2nd priority for balloting.
However, after seeing the available slots, RVPS - 210 & Mee Toh - 300, I decided to give Mee Toh a go first.
I'm mentally prepared to fail the ballot & go for Edgefield or even Horizon, as Edgefield was near to balloting @ Phase 2C last year-2009.
BUT, after reading how high the standard is of Mee Toh, I was contemplating to enrol for Edgefield direct. The only concern is the diet-wise.

Stuck between stress-free or diet-deprived ...

Although my daughter has been with Kumon for almost 2yrs, I'm not sure if she's up to the high standard of Mee Toh, based on the feedbacks ... ><

Looking at the balloting history of http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/punggol and http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/seng-kang, I'm afraid you don't stand a chance in either school since for the past several years, they both required balloting for those staying within 1km.


It's best you consider your second options of Edgefield and Horizon. Get registered first, then deal with the diet issue. Good luck!

I was thinking of that too. I guess the only way now is to monitor the available slots @ the end of the month then decide. ><

Hi, was told that there will be a Open House for Horizon this coming Saturday, maybe that will clear some of our questions with regards to the school. As the school is relatively new, not much information found yet.
