I’m afraid I wasn’t very clear in my last post. I’m not saying that affiliated MGS students are eligible for IP. What I meant to highlight was that MGS IP intake should be much lesser than RGS since it offers affiliation to students and that is only applicable to the O level track.

Thanks for confirming that MGS IP intake size is about 1/3 of RGS. Wouldn’t this make MGS IP more competitive to get in?

Congratulations to your daughter on performing well in PSLE. Both schools are great choices and will provide a holistic and well rounded education for your child. I think you should allow your daughter to make this decision for herself - it seems from your post that she is mature and conscious of what she believes she wants / will make her happier.

The only point that may be worth mentioning as another parent pointed out is that MGS IP will lead to the IB program which will have a different curriculum and syllabus from A levels. That being said, both are well recognized and can lead to good university placements if your child performs well.
