My child used to go to Math Note Tuition and improved a lot. They really have the heart to teach and are so responsible to our enquires and needs. I really liked it a lot.

Just sharing—my friend’s daughter from MGS and Hwa Chong scored 9 A1s and 7 A-Level distinctions, all without tuition. Her family couldn’t afford it, so she created her own study method.

She later went to two Ivy League schools, and now she’s built an app to help parents guide their kids—no need to teach or mark anything.

First 50 sign-ups get a free demo and can even call her how she did it. Thought it might be useful for some of you.

One tip I learn: for Sec 1 Math, actually the foundational stuff matters most. If your child didn’t master things like fractions, decimals and area perimeter properly in primary school, they will really struggle when Sec 1 starts ramping up. Maybe consider doing some diagnostic assessment first to identify the weak spots before spending money on a full tuition programme. Btw I also tried OmniBox Tutor for my boy — quite handy for quick homework help when I can’t figure out his questions myself. Anyway good luck with the search!
