Hi hi, a friend was sharing her recent holiday trip in Vietnam. She went Pho Quoc with her husband and her 12yr old son. Pho Quoc is an island, like our Sentosa of Singapore but Scoot flies there direct … around 1h 45 mins. She said is worth visiting especially family with children. Those who had been there can share more in this forum

I’ve already planned my holiday for late Oct / early Nov this year, bringing my 3 kids to Australia (Brisbane & Gold Coast) since they’re now 12 and 14.
Planning early really helps. I managed to book my SQ return airfare at just $809, which is a great deal.
I also book hotels early, but with flexibility. I usually use Agoda, which allows free cancellation up to two weeks before travel, so there’s no downside even if plans change.
So far, my 10D9N trip for 5 of us, including flights and hotels, is about $8.5k. This includes hotel stays at Brisbane Skytower , 2 nights farm stay at Worendo cottage, Sea World Resort that comes with access to 4 theme parks, and even whale watching by sea world cruises.
Now I just need to plan for car rental + meals. Keeping my budget within $12k- $13k.
Moral of the story: planning early really pays off

I recently travelled to China (Hangzhou/ Suzhou & Shanghai).
As it was a family trip with an elder, i did not choose to take train to transfer in between the cities, instead we traveled by private hirer, which saved time and more direct, especially for our 1st time family trip. (less than $200-7 seaters)
You may consider staying at Oakwood Hotel & Residence, suitable for family. Nice spots include Wuzhen, Nanxu Old Town, Wuxi & great shopping at Nanjing Road. -
Our family travelled to Ho Chi Minh City during the March hols, and our kids liked it so much that we went again last week
We booked a hotel in our first visit (in District 1, the tourist belt) and a lovely and spacious Airbnb house for our second visit (in District 2, their expat neighbourhood).
