We are Singaporean parents who spent a long time looking for a good English composition practice tool for our child. We could not find one that gave specific, personalised feedback and was genuinely engaging enough for a child to want to use it on their own. So, we built it ourselves.

Why we built this
Practising composition at home is hard. Children resist it, and it is difficult for parents to give meaningful feedback on their own. Even with support, written feedback takes time to arrive and is rarely specific to what your child got wrong in that particular piece.
We wanted to change that. Instant marking. Detailed, personalised feedback. And an experience children actually want to come back to.
That is why Word Wizards is gamified: avatars, accessories, and points that make practising feel like progress rather than homework.

Hi everyone, wanted to share a quick update of our latest updates

We have been heads-down building for the past few weeks and a few things are now live that I think are worth knowing about.

1. Photograph handwritten compositions
   Your child can now snap a photo of their handwritten work directly from the app – one page or several – and it transcribes the handwriting automatically, marks it, and gives feedback with a model answer. Great for kids who prefer writing by hand but still want the instant feedback.

2. Past compositions saved in the Progress Report
   Every composition and Quick Bites attempt is now stored. Tap any entry to read back exactly what your child wrote, see the score breakdown by criteria (Content and Language), and compare it with the model answer. Useful for spotting patterns in where marks are being lost.

3. Special resources for subscribers coming soon
   We are building additional learning resources exclusively for paid subscribers and will be sharing more details soon. Watch this space.
