P1 Registration 2026 (for kids born between 2 January 2020 and 1 January 2021)

Starting this thread for parents who need a space to share their thoughts/questions regarding P1 registration!
I’m from the KiasuParents team and my youngest is now in sec school. I actually still remember some of the feelings surrounding the registration, and we have other parents in our networks with younger children, who might be able to help answer questions. Not so much of “technical” questions, but perhaps what we know of the different schools, and any other reassurances we can provide.

This Wednesday (July 8), we’re holding our KiasuParents Huddle on P1 registration.
Our moderator and panellists are all parents who are familiar with the education system; one panellist is an NIE supervisor.

Just to share: In my case, I balloted for my son’s pri school and got it at Phase 2B (church/religious affiliation; we didn’t volunteer). We had a backup choice for 2C; a nearby neighbourhood school. We live right next to a highly popular primary school but weren’t keen on it at all.
