As a parent of a student currently in Whitley, I have to say that putting Whitley as a choice for their PSLE was one of the BIGGEST mistakes ever!!! Parents, if you want your child to grow up in a toxic environment during their formative years and become a selfish, mean prude, send your child here!! Firstly, their school has NO budget whatsoever! The school is dirty, unhygenic and the food is so greasy. The programmes that the school provide are USELESS! Their ALP programme is a WASTE OF TIME, and further stunts your child! The teachers are bad and do not know how to teach for the life of them. These “teachers” threatened to withhold O-Level results. Really unacceptable. Parents, this is the worser version of Assumption English School! If your child has an AL score adjacent to whitley like 21, might as well go to G2 stream in Peirce Secondary,Pei Hwa Secondary or even Beatty Secondary! These schools all have better facilities and a better environment, compared to the bitter, bullyish culture in Whitley. Secondly, I mean this with the purest of intentions, and I want to prevent more students from experiencing the hellish Whitley culture. Whitley has fostered such a bully culture. The teachers refuse to act on anything and are so INCOMPETENT! Now, these “Whitleyans” feel that it is appropriate to shame others and bully them. I am also not alone in this sentiment; many other parents and past students also feel this way. Just one gander at the school and you can immediately deduce this. Fellow parents, please do NOT send your child here!!! Better send your child to the other alternatives that I listed.
