Hi everyone, recently brought my helper to NUS Undergraduate Clinics for dental treatment. The student did extractions, cleaning, root canal and denture for my helper for less than $100. She is very happy and functioning well now. The student who did it was a very nice male student. If anyone’s helper is looking for cheap dental treatment, do contact me and I can pass you his number. They have limited slots so do chope soon!

Thanks for sharing this, it’s a great tip. Dental is one of the costs employers get caught by, because standard maid insurance doesn’t cover routine dental work like cleaning, fillings or dentures. The compulsory MOM cover is for hospital bills and accidents, and most insurers only pay for dental if it’s needed after an injury. A few plans have an optional outpatient or dental add-on, but the limits are usually small, so it’s worth checking your policy schedule before assuming anything is covered. For routine work, the NUS student dental clinic is one of the cheapest options around, as you found. Good to know the quality is decent too. Glad your helper is comfortable again. (For transparency, I work at Shenton Brokers, an insurance broker. Happy to answer questions on what maid plans do and don’t cover.)
