I built my 3 kids an AI tutor that follows the MOE syllabus. Would you let your kid use something like this?

Hi parents,

Dad of 3 here (P3, P6 and Sec 2). Every time the birth rate comes up, the answer is always the same: no time . So I tried to fix the time part - kidding

On the serious note, i do have time problem to teach and pace with my kids and trying to find out their day story.

For the past week, after the kids sleep, I’ve been building them an AI tutor called myKx.

The main thing I wanted: it has to teach the MOE way. Bar models and the methods schools use for maths, answers written the way their teachers and the exam formats expect, and a hint first instead of just giving the answer. Nothing worse than your kid learning a method the school doesn’t accept.

It also helps me look after them while I’m at work. It tells me when they reach home, what they learned and where they got stuck. One of the feature “Sentry” help to summarize their real-time update through my CCTV at home, so if there are catching mouse or lizard - i will know first hand.

And because it’s for kids: they don’t need an email to log in, and what they type isn’t used to train the AI.

Homework settled, kids accounted for. In theory, I now have time to help the birth rate.

In practice, I spent all of it building this.

Would really appreciate feedback from parents here, especially if your child is in P3, P6 or Sec 2. Do the explanations match what your kids’ schools teach? And is there anything you’d want an AI tutor to never do?
