Tough fight this year as they reduce enrolment by 1 class. But who knows more parents will want to avoid the tough fight and opt for CCKPS instead.

Yup. It was even noted in the papers if i recall correctly.
Parent volunteers were oversubscribed and they had to
ballot. Many didn't manage to get in due to the balloting
even after completing volunteer hours. I empathize with
them. The hours put in are extremely sacrificial especially
for the working parents. :hugs:

While a few went ahead one more time at Phase 2C, some
others were disappointed and went elsewhere.

When it comes to SV and DLS, the chances are really 50-50
especially without the faster channels/1st timers in P1 reg...

I have old students from my enrichment classes studying in
CCKPS. Errr.. they're all Chinese. All of them said their children
are coping fine and enjoy school. Ethnic balance should be same
across the board with all schools isn't it... especially government
schools?

I saw past year balloting record it was like 2007, 2008 where required to ballot for those in Phase 2B but in 2009 is like 100% go in for Phase 2B.
Maybe really have to ask Paul Octopus already!

Maybe they wised up after getting complains from non-successful 2B applicants that they reduced the number of PVs?

Yes, have to admit is tough flight! But is just my hse downstairs so maybe will just fight with it and see how's my luck!

I am new to this forum. I stay in Choa Chu Kang. My son is not a PR, so I will have to apply for his admission in the foreign category stage. I guess the date is 30th August. Can anybody guide me as to what is the procedure, there is only one date, can I apply in two schools?

Phase 3 is first-come-first-served. That means you will have to check which schools still have places available after phase 2C Supplement. Then on 30th Aug, be the first ones to arrive at the school with places available to register. As long as the school still has places left, you will be accepted. So not necessary for you to register at more than one school.

Looking at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/choa-chu-kang, the schools with available places after 2C Supp are Kranji Primary and Teck Whye Primary.

i was eyeing CCK primary and Concorde.... anyways, as of now just hoping that my son gets into some local school...
