All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

Thks all …for ur input.
Looks like St nicholas is slim in chance…
BTW…how long is the process of withdrawing from one school, tankee? Is it complicated? -
Process is fast, about 5-10 min. But you need to factor in queueing time.
Common recommendation here is to have one parent stationed at the first school to monitor and get ready to do withdrawal, if nec. And the other parent at the backup school, ready to take queue no to register. -
Tankee,
Gd suggestion.
Just wondering:-
Do the school keep some of the" original" doc ie: birthcert, vacine cert…etc during the registration n return to parents only when the registration is "confirmed/secured"?
If they don’t, then it’s easier for another parent to que for another backup school (which is distance away) because no need to wait for the doc to be returned from the 1st school(withdraw). -
they would just photocopy and return you the originals.
thus first parent doing withdrawal, need not go to backup school to register. Having second parent is to take away the risk of traveling time. -
They don’t. The school will only keep copies of the originals. But you do need to bring along the originals for verification.

BigDevil & Tankee
oh...thanks so much for all ur information
Now I hav to decide which back up school to choose from: Holy innocent or CHIJ LON...
No one seems to reply me on their info....:( -
Have you checked out the Hougang schools thread?

In addition to what Tankee and BigDevil mentioned, you don’t need the original documents to withdraw from School #1. Hence, the original documents should be with the parent who will be registering in the backup school.

No worries mum0408. We were all new once, and we veterans are here to help the newbies along. Perhaps next year, it will be you offering your assistance and opinions to parents going through P1 registration for the first time.
All the best and hope you find what you're looking for. :celebrate:
