[Bukit Timah] Primary Schools

Nicky:
Firstly, I must say that there are a lot of parents out there wish to be in your shoes.I m an old girl of NYPS.
After close contact with existing parents and students of NYPS, interactions with NYPS staff, I got the updated understanding of the school and its culture. Frankly, it is surprising and i dont like it at all.
Both my in-laws whom held senior positions in teaching shared my views.
Lastly, i was lucky to have met an old friend. She is a director /principal of an educational institution. I only got to know that she got her eldest girl in NYPS and the other 2 younger girls in RGPS. Hence, i asked for her opinion. She shared with me much insights and concluded that RGPS is definitely a better choice!
With affirmations from various sources, I have decided to FORGO NYPS 2A, and GO for RGPS 2C.
It might be more risky for me as I am 1 - 2 km from RGPS. But it's worth the try!
If you talk to more parents in any schools, you will bound to hear both positive and negative comments of the school.
Another point to note is NYPS is affiliated NYGH (for girls only) but RGPS is not affiliated to RGS.
Lastly, you should secure a place first in NYPS during P2A and later see whether there is any balloting in RGPS during P2C for 1-2km. This is to play safe that you won't end up losing both schools. -

According to past records, 1-2km is under \"safe\" territory -
