Luanee:
Will there be priority for the church/clan directly connected with school, then the PVs ? Or priority will go by the distance to the school ?
Exactly lor, so why PV there to fight with so many ppl? But my fren wont listen what to do, sigh..KSP:
Not forgetting those parents from church/clan directly connected with the school and community leader. They are also under P2B. -

so to be kiasu, PV and live within 1 km, or church member within 1 km -
When at SJIJ just now, teacher advised me to still put my boy on waiting list at CHS after the entire registration is over. Says distance is a major concern for the little ones.

Good suggestion! -
hi all,
I just called CHS… as of 4pm, there were 44 applicants in phase 2A2, which means only 18 left for both 2B and 2C… i.e. ballot for 9 places each.
I am also in the same predicament as some of you… Catholic and <1km… sigh! -
growie:
No, not reduced intake. Intake is the same...210 max. The siblings & alumni formed the bulk of the registration this year...
CHS is a full school for those who are not aware, any siblings of their secondary and primary are eligible to reg in phase1 and 2. -
Hi ClubNAKO,
you are right. a mere 5 mins journey can takes more than 45 mins. cos the bus has to 'tour'around the estate to pickup other children. that's why I prefer no school bus. and nowadays, school bus ain't cheap. and I think they will increase bus fare also.

KSP:
If I have a boy I really don't mind sending him to SJIJ.mamemo:
Yes, Mdms!!! You ladies are GOD-sent! I will do just that. Worry about the distance to school etc etc later. Thanks for the advice!
Great !
Actually SJIJ is good, cos there is affliation to secondary school, similar to CHS. Worry less in P6.
Not very far from bishan too if you go by marymount road to thomson road, just the jams at the TMC stretch may get quite terrible. I'm sure school bus can settle the logistics issue
I'm not sure have u people heard about SJIJ actually produce a lot of lawyers? This is what I have heard while talking to many parents.
and I think one of the ministers or few of the minsters are from SJIJ.hahah.
