Based solely on last year's result - yes, no chance at all for 1 - 2km in phase 2C. And this could be true for years to come as there are now a lot more families within 1km with the construction of The Peak.

Not only The Peak another big condo Sky @ Eleven, the 4 outstanding buildings just behind CHIJ is also up, TOP in June. Seriously, I would think the chances (if any) are very very slim, unless there are alot more families with boys

Can anyone share their thoughts/experience on CHIJ TP? - e.g. teaching culture (traditional or progressive), does the teaching style encourage inquiry, are students encouraged to think, how academically-focused is the school, are students given much opportunity to explore beyond textbooks, non-academic activities, etc.

Frankly speaking, I'm curious to know more about the teaching style of the teachers too. As for academic, I know CHIJ TP is more focused on the 'art' aspect like choir, dance, sports.

I am registering my daughter under phase 2B this thursday. I was also curious about the academic aspect but decided to go for this school anyway because she is very inclined towards art and she also plays tennis. CHIJ Sec also offers the Arts Elective Program so the affiliation helps if she is not that academically inclined. Initially was thinking of using art as DSA to a good sec sch or to SOTA but upon hearing CHIJ sec got AEP, I am all for this school now for my daughter.

I'm thinking along the same line too. We registered daughter there as it was my former school and has affiliation to the secondary school just beside.
Compared to CHIJ St Nicholas which is a SAP school and very much focused on academic, CHIJ TP is not.

I hope you will be able to register your daughter this Thur...ALL THE BEST.
