KSP, you are so encouraging! Thank you! Honestly, I was not the one who made these decisions. God guided - through angels in friends as well KSP parents like u. Thank God!
So, Jiang Edu is good? Highly recommendedby colleagues so I took my boy out from Tien Hsua this term n joined Jiang. -

It depends on what you look at. Pros: Jiang Edu has great materials, good teachers and good reputation. Cons: Class size is large at 30+, classrooms are squeezy. It is unclear how much personal attention each child can get.
I have tried a number. In the end, we decided that Molin is still the better option for my son mainly due to the smaller class size, and the fact that we liked the principal a lot due to her caring and dedicated nature.
To each their own
PS. I'm guilty of continuing to make this thread off-topic :!: Scarly tankee comes after me. -
ChiefKiasu:
ok, to bring it back from off topic, Bishan parents can consider sending their primary sch kids to Jiang Edu, or get some one-to-one tuition by PRC chinese teachers who have taught in singapore pri schools before - so they are familiar with the scope and the requirement, regardless of which schools the kids are in BishanGingerbread Man:

I feel is very good. You can tell how popular when they are \"changing shift\". They always advertise that they have like 10,000 students. Just imagine each student 1 year school fee is 1.5k their annual revenue is 15M!!!
But I think in any enrichment class it is also depends how much the child can absorb.ChiefKiasu:
20+ yes but not 30+.Cons: Class size is large at 30+, classrooms are squeezy.

Gingerbread man,
My gal is P1 this yr. She has been with Jiang since K1 and she learnt all her K2 hanyu pinyin from there last yr. Jiang is very old fashioned kind of school but teaching materials, worksheets are pretty good. Lower pri class is max abt 20 and weekend clases are very packed. Wed , thur & Fri classes are quite pretty small. My gal attends 3hrs class and she enjoys it alot. She speaks English since she is young and picks up Chinese from Jiang.Apparently, she absorbs their teaching very well. However, my P4 son found it very stressful to learn in Jiang cos’ thier homework is too difficult for him. He joined Jiang in mid P2 and just quit after May lessons ended. Personally, I find that not every child is suitable to study in Jiang.Based on my 2 kids’ experience, i think it is better to allow your kid to explore Chinese at early age(Since they are quite free & no stress in k1 & K2) . -
My boy's class at Jiang has a max of 15 kids. Yep, classroom is very small and sardine-packed. My initial concern was evacuation if fire emergency.
When asked, my boy said he prefers Jiang as compared to Tien Hsia. Mentioned that TS teaches too much in one lesson that he went bonkus. -
I know of 2 doctors who send their kids to jiang.
One is a medical doctor from a clinic near where I live. The other is my uni classmate who went further to pursue his PhD. Now a lecturer in a local tertiary institution.
Another one is more interesting. I got to know this mum whose her dd in the same Eng enrichment class as my dd. She is teaching chinese in one of the popular enrichment centre. But guess what, she didn't send her dd there but instead put her in jiang. :slapshead: I didn't ask her why but I guess the answer would be obvious and also not to create embarrassment.
Plus quite a few good comments from the people I know. -
That's good to know. But my gosh, the premise needs major overhaul! The desks used by the kids are as old as me!

What about Berries ? Both my boys are there.
Its just so convenient at CPF building next to Junction 8. -
I think we better channel all the chinese enrichment discussion to the right place
