Should say 5K is too little and everyone else is being offered more. Some ppls dont know the meaning of blessing. :stupid:
my hubby has one friend who always 'update' us about his income....even if we are not interested...mrswongtuition:
However, this is sometimes 'good' cos he got very kpo friends who like to find out how much he is earning, how much I'm earning, how much savings we have, how much we invest and what investments, etc etc. They like to 'hao lian' and compare EVERYTHING.
think he wants to \"show and tell\"
one other friend who married a PRC (diploma holder only, could speak little Eng ). and this PRC wife found a job (L/C checker, something like that) in a local bank. this man asked us: the bank offer my wife $5k, is it too little? -

The best is not to talk about $$ with friends or colleagues. Not even with relatives or siblings after marriage. This is speaking from life experience.
$ is always private & confidential...
but how about kids' scores/rankings? i found some parents are very eager to compare the kids' (lower primary kids) results.....
\"what is your kids' ranking in class and cohort\" \"what is his score for Eng, Math, Chinese\"
were the questions one parent asked me recently....
have u experienced this ?
is it common to compare ? :?
p.s. that parent asked same question to my husband who met her when sent my son to son's club activity and i met her just hours later when i fetched my son...(my son and her son are in same club) -

Just wondering, do you tell your parents your mthly salary? I do. I think usually those who earn alot will keep it P&C :lol: However, my mum will often tell me (without me asking) how much her friends and my aunties/uncles' kids are earning. They are very proud of their kids' career achievements and happily shared with her. I won't be surprised my mum told them about my pay too! -

I believe that it is not how much you earn but how much you save. I know of people making 20k-30k pm. but can't save. Spend everything! Living the high life. Others making 5 k p.m. have more savings than them. Of course if you are a saver and you earn more, then you will save more!

saving = salary-expenses.
If a family with dual income of 10k, take home will be 8k. If the
monthly expenses is below 5k, they can easily save 3k and above.
So what is the monthly expenses of a family with kids? -
