hi KS2, are you staying within 1km of TNS? just saw the result, this year vacancies less than last year around 20. good luck to you!Just called SHHK, I'm not recommended for Phase 2B as too many applicants for TNS and my membership is less than 1 year.
In fact, I did joined earlier, but it was after their 1st meeting. Their 2nd meeting is usually around Aug. So parents who are thinking of going to Phase 2B, pls consider to join SHHK at least 2years in advance.
Now have to prepare for the next battle, Phase 2C balloting :stupid: -

Do you mean only 20 SHHK members were recommended for TNS this year? Does SHHK publish the numbers? -

No...barney8 meant that TNS had 83 places available for phase 2B last year, but only 62 for this year...a reduction of 20 places.barney8:

I m also in the same boat as u...been a member with SHHK for 2 years already...went thru the rituals and 3 times volunteer work...also no luck...
So i guess i have to try my luck now in Phase 2C....

but teddythe, i must say you are more deserving than I am and wow are still so optimistic… I really hope you get your kid in…
i think balloting for phase 2c this year will be insane… i’m seriously reconsidering…
would you mind sharing your backup plan? i was thinking ngee ann until i read about bullying incidents… to be fair, heard about bullying in other schools as well… is this common in schools these days? my boy is rather small sized… i’m a little concerned he’ll be bullied… -

oh how come all of you know didn't get the recommendation. i didn't receive any call from school or SHHK. Does it mean i am out too? -
why not call SHHK to ask instead of waiting?

You mean that you are SHHK member for 4 years but yet not being recommend for TNS?
