I will register under phase 2C for Rosyth, how do we know if there is balloting for those staying < 1 km? Is it true we won't know until registration is completed?

For my son's school, they told us when we registered that should there be a balloting, the balloting would be held on the particular date and time. So, it is for us to monitor whether balloting would take place for the category we were in.
      awhuang:
I'm taking half day on first day of registration & going there at 8.30am, need to queue for registration? Is half day enough or do I need to take full day leave?
If you are talking about Rosyth, I believe the queue will be long. So, of course you need to queue for registration.

I believe half a day should be sufficient for registration purpose.
      awhuang:
I was told that results of registration for each phase will be sent via post.
Again, for my son's school, we received the confirmation slip on the balloting day itself. The principal signed the form on the spot after the balloting on the forms of successful applicants.

        yes. result is by post.

A day or 2 after the result date.

MOE will publish the schools that will be balloting and for what distance. And we will post those information here as well. And the registration status breakdown by distance is posted on noticeboards at the school and periodically updated bny the registration staff.

Usually, each school has about 2 registration counters. So depends on the arrival pattern of the parents.

Half day is more than enough. When I registered last year, it took about 15min.

just got back from rosyth for 2B. the waiting time was quite ok, there were only about 3 parents in front of us. we reached there at around 10am, but were already holding queue number 31. believe a lot of parents were there earlier.

haizzz....i'm more than 2km away. at the rate the applications are going, i may need to ballot. there are only 56 seats left, and already 30+ applications on 1st half of 1st day....... 😢

Yangzheng school seemed so good and we have been doing parent volunteer there for close to 40 hrs now (for next year’s P1 registration).

Wondering how come the TUR is so low, almost every year?!

We are intending to move near there too, from Sengkang where we live now.

Really puzzle us why is Yangzheng take up rate is low…?

                      Anyone to advise?

                      Thanks in advance.

Low TUR does not mean the school is no good, it is just not as popular as other schools in the proximity.

                        😄
