All About Full-Time Maids

You can try talking to Chris of GoodLink Maid Agency. Tell her specifically what is your requirement and she can shortlist some bio-data for you to check out.
But her charges are not cheap. I got this contact from a friend and heard that so far my friend has not heard of any negative feedback regarding the maids. I just got one Indo from Chris 2 mths ago. So far so good. -
My family has been using Trust Manpower (at Hong Lim Complex) for the past 5 years...All my hubby's siblings (total 3 of them) have been using them, and in fact, his sister's maid has been with her for coming to 4 years. His younger brother is also using the agency - now into his 3rd year.
My current maid, had also renewed her contract and will stay with us for at least another 2 years.
So far, it has been good. The boss name is Fabian Ong and he did the interview with the maids personally at their home country. So, tell him your requirement, he will be able to find the best match for you.
All the best

I have been using him for a long time. I stopped recently. He used to be very good with his service to customers but not anymore. He leaves it to his contact to interview the maids now. Ive reommended him to many friends and they all feel he has somewhat changed too. Hes no more like 2yrs back. Somehow he stands up more for the maid then the customer now.
I guess hes seen them all. I feel hes too nice to the maids that they all know they can get their way with him and tend to go back to him when they are not happy with employer. Last few yrs transferring a maid more then 3 times was unheard off, not so now. Hes also rather expensive
I think Its ok to use him if ur a new customer but dont take his maids that are transfered more then once. -
for my agent which i used for past two years (changed 3 maids with them), i learnt that they get most of their maids through maid themselves. ie, past maids introduce their friends/cousins/sisters to the same agent. this is the main source their maids. they can achieve this because the agent treats her maids very well so in the future these maids will go back and introduce other maids to the same agent.
these days the agent with more maids sure will have more business.
i am quite close to this agent and she told me she is very stressful some times because she sits between maid and employer. most of time she does not what happened between maid and employer. she is always in very difficult position and she has to make both party happy. very difficult...
this is their business model. yes herself is a filipino and she is very soft heart and caring for her maids but she is also open and willing to listen to both parties and make objective judgment. for my previous maid, in the beginning she complained to me that the maid is so nice and why i sent her back. she even broke into tears... but after i explained to her what exactly happened, her face turned serious and said i am very gracious that i give the maid chance to transfer...the maid should have been sent back home instead...
so far i am ok with my agent. i cant expect more.LKVM:
IMHO, I feel all the agents are the same nowdays... all wanna support their maids cause they get money from them.. more and more agents are jumping into this work and they work on quantity rather than quality like previous times..
I would suggest to go to 2-3 agencies and see which one can get your requirements properly...
Since getting good maid is pure luck nowdays rather than good agency... -

I have one question, if we go on vacation for like 15-20 days and we plan to take our maid with us can we cancel her levy for that time period? :?:
I tot cancel of levy = cancel of work permit :? -
Fuming now…
Yesterday sent back my maid to the agent. On Sat she called home & said her family will raise money for her to pay off loans. On Sun morning immediately wants to go back to agent. I sent her off despite not having anyone at home.
Now agent believes that she can really raise money to pay off loans. On the contract it’s stated that I have to give them max 30 days to get rid of her name off my MOM record. So if the agent really thinks she can pay off the loan they won’t arrange for her to be interviewed. So she can now shake leg at my expense: I have to pay levy, food & lodging fee for max 30 day’s quantum !!!
Is there anything I can do about this at all???
So pissed off :x :x :x
If ever I decide to get another maid, anything I can learn from this epidose so that I won’t be taken for a free ride again??? -
you will have to pay for her airticket as well...
but why 30 days? as soon as she repay you the loan, buy an airticket, cancel her WP and her record will disappeared in one weekmwchua:

I only know you can do it if she's going on home leave. Just keep the check in stubs to evidence. But if she's going with you and taking care of the kids and all, is that considered vacation? :? -

The maid said she wanted to go back to agent while waiting for the family to raise the money. How would I know how long she takes to raise the money??
And if I don't allow her to go back, what if she comes up with fabricated stories, or do something terrible to my family? I got 1 young child & my elderly mum at home, better be safe than sorry.
The maid agency contract says 30 days max for her to transferred out or repatriated.
:stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
liohao - really envious of you, at least after 2 transfers you finally get 1 good maid....now I am really really weary of the maid thing. In my 6 previous years don't have this issue at all !!!!!!! Is luck turning against me now??????
