Hi all, I've actually registered my boy in RVPS in Phase1. But knowing that Cantonment Pri will be ready nxt yr, feeling vry confuse now, whether to let him go into a brand new school or stay put in RVPS? Heard that principle of Cantonment pri will be one coming fm Bedok side sch. Can't find more info about Cantonment Pri in net... :?

My elder daughter is currently in RVPS. Find that the school only focus on the top 3 classes once u reach P3 onwards. The others will be left swimming in the big ocean... That's wat a teacher from there quote too.

So thought tat a brand new school might be good as there wll be not much comparison...

How about considering Radin Mas or ZhangDe?? Or would you be >2km for these 2 schools?

Generally in every school there are bound to have top 2-3 class in every level in which would be taught at a much faster pace. The slower learners would be manage by another groups of teachers.

Thought in Secondary already have different grades? Gifted? Special, Express, Normal that what I know in my younger days.

I stay juz nex to ZD, as in i can see the school fm my hse window! I guess RDM is more popular n most of my hb fren kids is there so if <1km no need balloting, i will put my name for that. Otherwise, yah! Will go with ZD. Can save school bus $ also!

Well you need to weight the risk if lost balloting in RMPS you would also no place in ZDPS. Usually ZDPS would be fill up 100% in Phase 2C.

Wow you stay so near ZDPS? Can really save a lot on school bus. Eg $50/mth. $50X12X6 = $3,600. Can use this amount for other investment.

Just want to check with the experienced people, I have registered my daughter in Phase 2B in RMPS. It looks like all are in for 2B. So should I still register her in Phase 2C and wait for a confirmation letter from RMPS for 2B?
Basically, I am clueless as to what I should do next? When I call the school they were not able to tell me when I will get an official confirmation for 2B registration.

First of all, :congrats: to you! Since number of vacancies exceed the number of applicants, that means your application is successful!

Hence, you don't have to register your child in P2C again. Did the school confirm that your girl had gotten in? If so, it's just a matter of time that you receive the confirmation slip. BTW, I registered my girl in P1, and I have not received the confirmation slip, yet. :shock: So, don't be too concerned with this.

So, don't worry! Just prepare your girl for P1! My girl will also be in P1 next year, so who knows, they may end up as classmates! :celebrate:

Yes $10,800 is just a conservative figure.Who knows sch fares would increase due to safety belt issue, fuel go up, insurance go up, ERP gantry put up etc etc.

You also can consider save on the makan if the child need to stay back for ECA or remedial class. Just ask the child go home take a shower & have lunch then go back to schol again.

Makan I take it $2/day. Total MOE have 40 weeks in a year. Assuming need to stay 2 days in a week. $2 X 2 X 40 = $160/year. Take it when the child would apply this when at P3. $160 X 4 = $640. U have 3 child mean $640 X 3 = $1920.
