          Hi Smurf,

You can visit their website below for more info on the CCA which are available.

          http://www.mshs.moe.edu.sg/mshspri/mshs/Primary-School/PrimaryNew/marishome.htm

For Maris Stella, they take in P1s for badminton (through selection), table tennis, wushu and inline skating. But these are payable.

I called the school and they told me to check the yellow pages. According to them there isn't any near the school.

Hi joopjoop, I’m surprised with the info you gotten from the school! There is an after school care just opposite MSH. Its in the Bartley Christian Church itself. If I’m not wrong, the after school care is called TLC. Several of ds’ classmates goes there. They have their lunch in the school canteen and then takes a chartered bus over. Can’'t provide any other feedback as ds isn’t going there.

When I went to fetch ds after his Ti Zi Kue lessons (post sch ciriculum) during the earlier part of the year, I used to see a teacher walking the group of boys over to TLC.

Here's the reply I got from the school when I send an email. Anyway, I decided not to put my ds there as it was too far.

joopjoop, I spoke to Karen just now to clarify the info on After School Care run by TCL at Bartley Christian Church. Karen confirmed that TLC is not an entity of Maris Stella. I am not sure about the distance you are referring to. I thot’ it may be a good idea as your ds cld go to TLC together with his friends, probably a few of his classmates are going there as well. As such, he has friends he is familiar with who could help to look after each other. You can even get in touch with a few of the parents & form a support group. In the meanwhile, Karen suggests that you could drop by TLC (which is just opposite the school) to take a look at the premises & have a better idea.
