Hi, would like to know if there are any RGPS parents who stay far away from the school? Your gals take schoolbus? Is it very early/late and they will be very tired?

I would also like to know if RGPS has exams in P1 & P2? Thanks!

I stay at Sengkang. My P1 girl's school bus comes and fetch her at 11.30am, usually reach home around 7.10pm P1 & P2 in afternoon session. Her school bus currently has 2 P1 girls, and 4 P2 girls.

Must start to think of logistics once she is in morning session, as the school bus uncle told me before that he will usually pick up around 5.40am!!!! But think maybe he goes for antoher round of fetching after sending them off to RGPS, if not then why reach around school latest around 6.30am when it's still pitch dark????

P1 this year - only year-end exam, but got holistic assessment, i.e. class tests, show & tell and performance task starting from Term 2.

Welcome to the big family 🙂

          Andaiz:

dimsum, the PV's have recruitment every month or so from May onwards.
Has your friend had a \"friendly chat\" with the PVG EXCO member and some SAC lady? We had ours and the interview was meant to gauge the parents' commitment etc....

so much for this, my batch of P2B parents have more or less disappeared from volunteering in school :!:
Thanks for the info. She didn't receive any phonecall from anyone. You mean she would need to receive a phone call from some EXCO member and some SAC lady first?

65 PVs are eligible for P2B 2010 registration (for P1 next year).

Yet there were only 62 applicants for 2B? Interesting....

If it is > 62 applicants = balloting for 2B this year.

Indeed...so these 62 applicants should be thankful that the remaining 3 didn't register!

My guess is these 3 PVs are within 1km. Even if they are not PVs, they are amost 99.9999% guarenteed a place in 2C. But again it’s just my guess.

I know some PVs were within 1km during my year and I asked some of them why they want to do so. Some answered they want to be 101% sure!!!

You mean instead of going for 2B, they will register in 2C?

That’s a strange strategy. They could just go for balloting in 2B, then register again in 2C if they failed 2B. That would give them 2 chances instead of one, no?
