Orange Girl:
If it is > 62 applicants = balloting for 2B this year.
Indeed...so these 62 applicants should be thankful that the remaining 3 didn't register! -
My guess is these 3 PVs are within 1km. Even if they are not PVs, they are amost 99.9999% guarenteed a place in 2C. But again it’s just my guess.
I know some PVs were within 1km during my year and I asked some of them why they want to do so. Some answered they want to be 101% sure!!! -
You mean instead of going for 2B, they will register in 2C?
That’s a strange strategy. They could just go for balloting in 2B, then register again in 2C if they failed 2B. That would give them 2 chances instead of one, no? -
BigDevil:
My guess is: They are PV at another school, so they want to give balloting a chance 1st at the other 1st choice school if they also within 2km, most probably that school is a co-ed school. You mean instead of going for 2B, they will register in 2C?

Failing which, going by past year RGPS Phase 2C stats, as long as 1 is within 2 km of RGPS, at Phase 2C, it is still a 99.9% sure-win.
Just my guess  -

My guess is the 3 PVs who didn't register were within 1km. They gave up so that the school don't have to ballot for those more than 2km. These 3 can always come back again in 2C and they are almost guarenteed a place bcos they are within 1kmYou mean instead of going for 2B, they will register in 2C?

Can't be too sure, right ? New condos and cluster housing are already there. In time to come, those within 1 km will swamp the school ..... be kiasu, be very kiasu and do the ultimate ........

Hi parents
Just want to check under phase 2c, is there ever any successful intake to RGPS for children staying at Bukit Panjang(Senja area) ?
Also for school bus arrangement, what is the usual time for pickup from home and what time will the kids reach home after school?
Appreciate some advises…
Many thanks! -
Wow this year RGPS is balloting for those staying within 1km for phase 2C! 65 applicants for 63 places… First time in history…

The 3 PVs who didnt register probably had another back-up plan. They could be PVing in more than one school and decide not to register in RGPS after evaluating their various options.
