Creative Writing Classes- Pls help
-
When our daughter was in middle of P3,we moved overseas where she studied in International School. She was in LOA of one of the top schools so when we returned this march she joined P5. She has scored slightly better than average marks in her English SA1. However her compo writing and closed passages are still at P3 level.!!! I desperately need to find a tutor or centre where they can guide her to write compos how they are expected in PSLE. I have bought compo writing books and model compo books but of no avail as hates compo writing now !! She is an avid reader but it just does not showing in her writing. We stay in Hume avenue and would like to find tutor or centre in Bukit Batok ,Bukit Timah or even Jurong or Chua Chu Kang. Pls do not recommend Learning Lab at it is too far. Pls advise .

Then your best bet will be with The Alternative Story, dear.
They're gonna open another branch in Bt Timah very soon.
So, very near where you are. You can PM The Alternative Story
too for details as they are also a registered member here in our
forum. In the meantime i will direct you to a link on their sharings
here.
Hope this helps.

If she likes writing story (not sch compo), I would recommend Catherine Khoo's Young Author Scheme. http://catherinekhoo.sg/index.php/programmes/young-achievers/young-authors-scheme
Having a story book published in one's name really motivates further writing. Just my 2cts. -
Yes I called TAS . They are opening a branch very close to my place. However they still do not have P5 group for this centre. Any P5 parents reading and interested in Creative writing class with TAS , pls call and leave your details. Hope can get a group formed !!!
