I fully empathise with PVs devoting hours and yet not able to place kids in choice school. This could be a very disappointing experience. That said, still, personal attacks, names calling are totally unnecessary especially in this case. I appreciate this being moved out out of PHPPS thread. Thanks.

:? typo? -
I think there might be some misunderstandings on how school chose their PVs. I do not think any school would intentionally choose those staying > 2km to do PV as PV falls under phase 2B together with grassroots & clan\\church members. The school has no control over the number of applicants from these 2 groups and where they stay. Should applicants exceed available places, those > 2km are first to be affected.

Actually, janet_lee88, sorry if I am going to sound rude here. Tankee was just curious that the sentence might be phrased incorrectly.

Not a question of style as school are in not position to offer this so-called chance, as there are too many factors beyond its control. And I would like to think that our educators whom we entrust our kids' education to, are not naive to think they can manipulate phase 2B.

Furthermore, MOE has been encouraging parents to choose school that are near to their home, thus the balloting by distance. This is promoted so that our kids need not travel too much to & fro school. This \"giving chance to > 2km\" thingy is not in line with this. -
