MMM:
Does anyone with kids at Kinderland Serangoon? We are toying with the idea of switching our nursery child from Kinderland MP to Serangoon.... Hoping to get some feedback.
My son is currently in this kinderland (serangoon). He has been there for 3 yrs. This year he is in K2. Mmmm... My son enjoy going to this school than his previous one ( MMI Sengkeng). Up till now my son still refuse to go to MMI. He mentioned to me that he likes  the environment, friends, teachers and food.
I find that kinderland curricumlum can well prepare for children to go to P1. But I just find that they don focus on phonic probably is because they have their in house writing to read programme. Its incoprate with computer. My son always looking forward to have that lesson. Now he can read some simple sentences which I don do a lot of reading wif him. To my surprise he can speak mandarin quite well though he is an english spoken child. and we speak to him in English most of the time. Not only that he can recognise some chinese character which I don really teach him.
so....I am quite happy wif my son development. I think he likes the way the teachers conduct the lesson too.
hope my feedback do help u.

Thanks Mag,
This sounds pretty similar to my kids’ experiences in Kinderland MP. We’ve 2 older kids in P2 and P1 now and kinderland has done them well as in their love for school and learning. They adapted to Primary school well socially and academically.
I do agree on the phonics aspects as they are using the WTR program. So we had to enforce that externally with phonics lessons.
We are keeping the options open for the nursery gg girl. She is currently at Kinderland MP and staying at my mum’s place during weekdays. That helps as she attends ballet and molin for chinese near my mum’s place and my mum is able to help us with that. Otherwise our weekends are already burnt with the older kids’ lessons. Also, she has been there since pre-nursery so if I change her, she has to re-adapt. -
Does anyone with kids in Kinderland Tampines Safra or upper changi road? Any good/bad comments on teaching, curriculum, any aspect is welcome. Me and hubby thinking of switching my N2 boy from current child care centre.

hi budsMMI Bt Panjang left a painful shred of mine and
my child's life. Heavy politics. No-brainer teachers.
Shouting, screaming, yelling... Wait a minute, the last
three words mean the same thing! Its done all the time
that's why. Not a Montessori environment entirely.
Punishment?
Heck, lets not even go there.
Not enuf space to pen down here.
which MMI are you referring to? ten mile junction or phoenix walk? what happen? can share your experience? -
