As my DS is in boy school, I cannot put my DD in the same school.
So I monitor MOE website for various girl school all Phases before Phase 2C and finally decide on MCS as quite confirm no ballot in Phase 2C. -

There is no test or any assessment to split the girls up according to their ability for Primary 1. At the end of Primary 1, they will be ranked 1st according to their Math results, followed by their English results. They will then be placed into Class C and G for Primary 2 and Class B and D for the subsequent years. The other classes are of mixed ability.Hi,

Nonetheless, my observation is that they rotate the teachers around from Primary 2 to Primary 6(i.e don't see any obvious practice to allocate only 'good' teachers to only 'good classes'). -

I'm looking at St Andrews/Maris Stella/St Joseph but all seems difficult to get in w/o balloting.
