I did not mention taking the places away from 2C so please don't jump the gun.

That is why I said I hope the schools can up their intake. I understand that they are trying to keep the class to a maximum of 30 for pr 1 & 2 but they increase it to 40 come primary 3. A lot of parents at my son's school think 10 less pupils in the class does not equate to more time, attention or effort spent on them. That was the case for my son's school, I don't speak for the rest.

Physically, every classroom is more or less of the same size so I gathered the capacity to accommodate the students has not reached its maximum.

Understand ur frustration but i dont think it is going to be easy for the school to accomdate extra students this way just because of more applicants. If u want to accomodate extra 5 staying within 1km, what about those staying out of 1km? They may argue that since you can take in extra 5, what about extra 10, extra 20? It would be a no-ending and thankless job. And if u do that this year, how would it be in subsequent years? Everyone would be asking the school to accomodate the extra applicants every year??

Yes, you are right and I know utimately, there must be a cap on the number of applicants.

I have this sudden crazy idea... why not build more \"top schools\"? You know like Nanyang Junior, Raflles Girls Junior, MGS junior... This is modeled after ACS primary and ACS junior since both are equally esteemed. Haha...

Anyone know the breakdown of Pei Wah under P2b?

                Applicants for:-
                ? less than 1km
                ? within 1 -2km
                ? more than 2km?

I’m staying within 1km of Pei Wah… But seems that even "study" the past balloting history also doesn’t seems to apply this year. Plus, the facts there are many new properties rising in the same area… don’t know how it will be for 2C. Haiz…

Congratulations to parents whom balloted and got into their school of choice…

My good friend texted me, his son failed to get into NYPS despite his wife clocked more than 70 hours of PV…it was such a heart breaking experience for them now…only 7 seats for 22 ballots (2B, >2km).

I do not know what to say, how to advise…just spoke to him, asking him to try a nearer and good school within 1 km from his home…I feel sorry for them, though it will be my turn next year…
