Does anyone knows if you are a grassroot leader, registering the school via 2B, but you rent a place which is near the school, is it acceptable? Or you can only register 2B under your own GRC, and the same address as you are as a grassroot leader?
If your address is in GRC 1 and you serve in GRC2, your 2B letter from PA will indicate that you are entitled to enroll your child in any schol within both GRCs. -

sorry.... for those with yet to be completed properties, should stand behind the queue of those who are staying ard the schools. rules to be changed.
Sadly, there will always be people who will try to hunt for loopholes and exploit the system, or simply use money to salvage the situation to their advantage.
We are the ones down here wondering how people can resort to such underhand tactics, and debate about the morality of it all, while these guys get their places in the schools, and are probably laughing all the way to the \"bank\". -

For RC yes you have to be a resident within the blocks that constitute the RC. For the main committees (CCMC/CCC), there is no such requirement. You will find a number of active GRLs who are actually not residing within the same constituencies/GRCs. -
they can simply buy a ready-to-move-in property instead of a under-construction property. and no one can stop them from selling it later on and move again.
the end result is no difference
for this group of property buyers and parents, a few hundred thousand $$ in stamp duty makes no difference at all
if this could be fixed, it would have been fixed long ago -
Hi, we own 2 properties - 1 where we are currently staying in and the other is rented out. Which address can we use for P1 registration?

you can only use the one you are genuinely staying in, and better be reflected on your NRIC
your rental one could be verified by IRAS if the MOE wants to check
