Maris Stella High
-
I found three phone numbers from an earlier post. Tried the first, no one picked up. Second’s not in use. Managed to get through to Mr Tan Say Beng at 9366 3882. If anyone else is also considering this option, can call to inquire. Will go down one afternoon to have a look.
We’re deciding between putting him in after school care near my workplace or with this centre so would be grateful for any comments/feedback from any parent with kid(s) with them… -
Honey:
joopjoop, I spoke to Karen just now to clarify the info on After School Care run by TCL at Bartley Christian Church. Karen confirmed that TLC is not an entity of Maris Stella. I am not sure about the distance you are referring to. I thot' it may be a good idea as your ds cld go to TLC together with his friends, probably a few of his classmates are going there as well. As such, he has friends he is familiar with who could help to look after each other. You can even get in touch with a few of the parents & form a support group. In the meanwhile, Karen suggests that you could drop by TLC (which is just opposite the school) to take a look at the premises & have a better idea.
Hellos - Maris Stella is a Catholic school - Bartley Christian Church is a Christian church - so confirmed not related. -
Would like to know if anyone knows the fastest way to travel back to Tampines via public transport from Maris Stella? Please don't say taxi but if it is taxi, how much per trip?

-
Hellos Namie, you stay in Tampiness? I stay in Tiong Bahru -- haha -- i think i am very far from the school also -- will need to think of transport now that balloting is over!!
There was someone who said that he/ she is thinking of sending ds to town BASC -- wonder who this person is?? Maybe my boy may end up in the same school bus since town is quite near Tiong Bahru!

For Maris Stella, they take in P1s for badminton (through selection), table tennis, wushu and inline skating. But these are payable.
Hi Toffeev or any parent, can you tell us more how they do their badminton selection for P1? Must play with a proper badminton net (so high) or just play practice rallies without net? My son is entering P1 next year, and he really wants to play... -
Hi,
Can I know whether it is morning or afternoon session in Maris Stella?
I am looking at the school website, it looks like it does not give breakdown on the number of application for <1> 2 km. How can I get this information?
Thanks! -

Im assuming you are referring to last year's 2C stats. Dont think such stats are available unless somebody calls the school and keeps track of it.Hi,
