          Hi,

Any new additions to the Woodlands Primary kiasu family?
          Can someone update pls?

You may already know that WDP has reduced its intake this year
again to 270. Wonder if it will shrink again in 2011.. then expect to see parents scrambling to be 40 hour PV..

Worry father, you may need to start worrying now..hahah.. ๐Ÿ˜Ž AIO.
Thank you lor.. now I need to start worrying if really every year reduce intake..

nowadays, I think childcare also need 40 hours PV soon..

              :hi5: Hi Hi!

Just to share.. the school's Brisk Walk 3@HortPark today.
It was a pleasant experience... vast space and many theme gardens
              for the kids to explore!
The highlight was the BUTTERFLIES Garden!
We entered it at the best time of the day and the butterflies were very
active. I even have a chance to see one feeding on the nectar :peekaboo: at close range!

Hi. I just registered my daughter in Woodlands Primary. I think this forum has been really useful. Was initially thinking of putting my dd in Woodgrove but was told that there were not much place leftโ€ฆand after giving much thought and especially since Woodlands Primary is almost equal distance (walking distance) from my mumโ€™s and my place I think Woodlands Pri will be the best option.

Hope to know more parents with children in Woodlands Pri. Iโ€™m a working mum but will like to get involve in somekind of parent support group. How active are the parents support group?

                Thanks.

                    Hihi,

My girl failed to secure a place in Greenwood at Phase 2C. Considering Woodlands Pri and Sembawang Pri which are both 1-2km from us. Only issue is that in Woodlands, there is a history of balloting for 1-2km. Meaning, if we dont get a seat again, we will be under phase 3. For the the people i know, i think we are the only ones who registered for Primary schools 3 times. ๐Ÿ˜›

My girl has \"graciously\" left the decision to us so before we decide, I like to know if Woodlands Primary matches our idea of a good primary school in the following terms.

                    1) Friendly, not highly stressed on academics environment
                    2) Good teachers group (i do understand various teachers will act differently but on the whole?)
                    3) For those parents whose kids are there, are they happy going to school?
                    4) Parent - teachers communication
                    5) Strong moral building

I really hope my child will have a good and happy 6 years education before \"fighting\" the war in secondary school. Hope the school can assist to build up the child's character to be compassionate, confidence and resilent in life.
