All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Hi momocha,
Currently i had finish two assignment and clock in about 14 hrs since 22nd July till now.
Its very fun playing with the children as my assignment are the Racial Harmony that teach them about \"Five Stones\" and their YOG games. Just need to assist them how to play the games and thats all. There was also face painting, playing lots of games as basketball, bowling, soccer and etc. BPPS is quite a good school in Bt Panjang.
You may consider to let your child get into the sch.
Right now, im actually staying outside 2km frm BPPS. but they accept me as PV. Hope that there will b no balloting for next year P2B....

Sounds interesting.
BPPS has not had much history of balloting for 2B I believe.
Just enjoy the PV time with BPPS and use the time to get to know the school better.
I'm more than 1km away, so BPPS is out. I only have 2 more days to think about where to register! :frustrated: -
Im now a PV of a school in Bishan. My child is entering p1 in 2012. Based on this year's phase 2B results, this school had to conduct balloting even for those within 1km. And im staying within 1-2km. Am wondering if i should continue or quit as a PV....

If your time permit maybe should continue as PV. At least you can decide during that time to register in Phase 2B. Bishan school may I know which one? -

If no... pretty LPPL... complete PV and hope for the best with Phase2B... -

Hi JimL, just be 'careful' when you do PV at CHS. Cos, yup, most years there is balloting within 1km, even for Phase 2B. Somemore - your pool of fellow balloters also consist of Catholics and Grassroot leaders.
oh, so discouraging to hear that, was thinking to ask wife to go and join PV.
So, you must be prepared that you dont get the school even after you have put in your PV hours.
