      Dear Mumatwork,

I think these are the same people who did not get a place last week.

As expected. Many parents flocked to KCPPS. Not sure how many is <1km>2km chance may be very slim.

Hi Growie, thanks a lot. Will register tomorrow only. Bit disappointed by the turn out for KCPPS. That is my 2nd choice after CHS. But looks like may out of my reach since I stay 1km<>2km. Looks like will ended up in a school at Ang Mo Kio. Just unfortunate this year. School in Bishan just too competitive. 😞

the trend of kcpps for the last few years was balloting for those between 1 to 2 km. Not sure about the # of places for this group but i believe chances are favourable.

even if you don't get in now, likely you can get a place at the end of the year if you are on waiting list, cos there is usually some movement at the end of the year and places are freed up.

                all the best to you.

Yes, KCPPS high turnout for the 1st day itself was most likely reflective of the 'spillover' effect from CHS. (But than, out of 117 places, 111 have been registered...still 5 seats left..)

As most will try to avoid Guangyang, KCPPS, which has garnered a good reputation in Bishan, is highly sought after...i.e. apart from the 2 other SAP schools - CHS & ATS.

It's not easy to decide...but do you wanna try CHS again, since you have PV and living within 1km? There are so far 17 applicants for the 1st day, you may want to call the school to check on the latest status. I heard that PVs can still be placed on 'wait list' if they are not successful (touch wood la...) in the registration phases. The school will contact you later once a vacancy becomes available. Maybe ClubNAKO can help confirm this?

The other popular school in AMK is Anderson, but than that is already over subscribed too. Townsville which is nearer to Bishan, seems hopeful somehow.
Don't give up hope yet...a silver lining lies amidst the dark clouds... πŸ™ :ugogirl:

Yes, one reason for registering tomorrow is to see which school is with higher chance. Not yet ready to give up CHS. But betting it for 2C may be risky. So will definitely want to go on wait list for CHS later. Hope the effort I put in for PV pays off eventually. So for 2c, we are aiming for KCPPS. Will call up school tomorrow to find out chance for >1km. Last backup is Townsville or Teck Gee. So all will see the situation tomorrow. Thanks for the encouragement. This is all cry nerve racking. Now I fully understand what many Singapore parents have gone through. Really hopethat my kids don’t have to go through this next time. So this time will choose wisely.

heard that as of today, number of applicants at ATS for phase 2C is already 40. all < 1km. so, balloting for < 1km is confirmed.

Is it advisable to even try for balloting at ATS <1km looking at the probability? I already have a confirmed place at MSH but ATS is so near... I am very scared I will get nothing at the end...
