      Hi

I was wondering how many places are allocated for O level students at JCs? Especially VJC, HCJC and RJC. Thanks!

you can make a deduction based on the number of graduates at the A Level, minus the Sec One intake

HCJC has about 1100 to 1200 students. 900 of them would come from HCI and NYGH so it left with 200 to 300 vacancies for the O levels students. I guess RJC should be around the same. Not sure about VJC though…

hence the cut off points for L1R5 is 3 or lesser for both HCI and RI .......

Good to know that there are more than 100 places .... not as bad as I thought.

Need to note that most top Sec schools have scholars joining them in Sec 3 (approx. 50 for each school). I am not sure if there are additional scholars joining in Year 5.

sure there are. ASEAN scholars, at least, and China scholars

That means there are really not many places left for O Level students. No wonder RI and HCI's cutoff points were only 3.

It seems that it is quite possible to get into HCJC with a 3.
