Guangyang is at AMK temporary only as its premise in bishan is being rebuild under PRIME. It will be back in bishan in 2012.

Yes, and it will be KCPPS's turn to move to the same temporary holding school in AMK, in 2012.

i heard that kcpps' move has been shelved. 2012 will still be at current premises.

Not really. There are choices of schools from Toa Payoh and AMK.

Can Guangyang even make up 1 class? Why don't they just close the school and pass the resources to the other 3 so they can have more seats?

after phase 3, they definitely have enough to make up one or two class.

It is not cost effectively to run one or two classes for Primary 1 for as a school. Channeling of resource to the other 3 three will be a better option right now.

Thanks, zeemimi. Btw, is your child still in KCPPS?

Out of curiosity, how come this school is so undesired by parents?? So different from Guanghua (Kong Hwa) :?

:? Lack of publicity? Lack of good principal and teachers? Even after P2C Supp, it is still not full... maybe it will eventually be filled with foreigners at Phase 3.[/quote]a few years back there was this GEP boy who was in the news for some achievement. (can't remember what). but i remembered it was reported he was from Guangyang fr Pri 1-3.

I don't think it is lack of good principal and teachers, but just that the other 3 schools comparably have a much longer history. GY is overshadowed by all these 3 schs in Bishan.

Should i say that GY is a bit like another school in the east which has many foreign students? Just that the make up of the foreign students are different for GY.

yep, and i'll probably still be connected to the sch in some way for the next 7 years. 😢

Today is last day. We'll know the final number after 4.30pm. MOE will update by 7pm today. Think less applied coz 2C is last chance to enter the good schools. Those who dun want those schools left at Phase 2C Supp gotta try for the 2nd choice good schools now.

Sigh… looking at the number is like looking at stock market. Now I still can’t decide if I should take a safe bet to register at a school at AMK or risk 2C of balloting at KCPS or CHS. Can only pray hard now for a sign…
