This year, anything can happen.. Some many stay within 1km from both nyps n rgps..
But they can only register in one school.. did u call up the school to ask how many are within 1km ?

I think it's two schools merged into one and shifted over to its current premises. Anyway we registered ds there. No queue, no stress, no balloting cause it's not a hot school. 😉 Good or not - I really have no idea.

it was formerly known as Bukit Batok Primary School and Bukit Batok Pri was from mergering Bukit Batok East and Bukit Batok West School. Bukit Batok West School during the 70s and 80s was a super popular school, more popular and 'hotter' than Pei Hwa then!

ALL RGPS 2C parents: Please call the principal Mrs Yue Yoke Mun and plead with her to just accept the additional 2 girls.

It's not like it's 20. It's just as if there were 2 \"twin\" applicants. With more people calling, perhaps the principal can give it a thought.

Her email is [email protected]. Please all write to her.

Lionel Ong: Mrs. Yue is not in the school today. Will only be back tomorrow. Want to knock on her door tomorrow morning ?

I agree with you 100%. This stress is totally uncalled for. None of us ever expected this to happen. And more over, since the number only jumped within the last hour, we didn't even have time to respond (say to register at a lesser but still acceptable school).

I thought her middle name should be spelt as Yoke instead of Yuke?

May i ask why is it that in the past many will flood to RGPS?

              Luanee:
Does nyps need to ballot within 1km this year for 2C? If so, staying 200m or 999m from the school doesnt make a difference...

Last time a lot of ppl out of 2km will flood to rgps when they realise the other schools they aiming for no chance liao, but this year no such choice any more..

Correct.... Bukit Batok East and Bukit Batok West merged to become Bukit Batok Primary School. The old school was located at the end of Jln Jurong Kechil, just outside Bukit Batok area. When the school was relocated to Lorong Kismis, it changed its name to Bukit Timah Primary School to create a better identity and not causing any confusion to people regarding its location.

Yes, it was popular in 70s and 80s. I was there in the 70s and my classmate was a PRESIDENT SCHOLAR in the 80s. A few of my classmates were also scholars.

Too bad that now it falls in the Bukit Timah cluster where it has to complete with so many popular schools.

Becoz in the past, it is one of the rare few 'more prestigious' school that conducts balloting in 2C for those staying out of 2km. So naturally if u are out of 2km from nyps, msg, hpps, phps etc and you realise u have no hope in those schools since they ballot within 1km or 1-2km, then u will flood to rgps. At least u get a balloting chance rather than zero chance in the other schools.

But not all 200+ may fall within the balloting distance category. Are all the 68 applicants in nyps within 1km ??
