yeah agreed.
You know lah.....maths concept is not easy to teach and so I am leaving it to the expert. -

Ok, crossing fingers now, heee else gotta start cracking head again(hope not!).

I agree with Monster Mummy’s comments that it is subjective. My personal view is that not all outlets are the same. I believe this also applies to MPM. Eg. teacher in certain outlets might make a difference.
My 3 kids (K1, P2 and P3) are in the Enopi program in another outlet. The centre teacher is trained in psychologist and has a way with handling the kids. The kids have build rapport with her.
This is their 2nd year in the program I see how my P3 move from an average performer to top her class during SA1` this year. So in our case, Enopi works and we are happy and will keep it that way.
Personally, I think Enopi and MPM are both good programs to consider. But Kumon is definitely out of the picture since it is too arithmetic. My P2 did Kumon when he was in K2. We switched him to Enopi after 1 year and never regret that decision. -
Hi,
What is the difference when you switch the child from Kumon to Enopi. Because I think for Kumon to my understanding, they are really arithmetic and drilling the child on meeting time target. This is good and bad to my point of view. -
Monster Mummy:
Yes. Kumon is too arithmetic and 1 booklet of homework everyday. They perfect through drilling. But Enopi has the critical thinking portion and the arithmetic portion is also not neglected. Homework is usually 2-3 booklets a week. Personally, I think this is better since they need to spend time on other subjects as well.Hi,

oh yes. THis is what I understand from my friend as well. Neverthless, it still boils down to how far the kids can take on.

In our case, We spend 2.30 hours every night on school/ enrichment homework. During daytime (before/ after school) I also give them some work. My kids usually take 2 days to complete their enopi homework (15 pages) since there are days whereby they have school homework, tingxie, spelling, etc.... and I also want them to revise other subjects. 2 days to me is ok but I cannot imagine if homework is everyday :imdrowning:
I think that is creating additional stress for them. In fact when it is near CA/ SA, I usually prioritise and ask them to spend the time on revision and exam papers rather than enopi since they are learning ahead in enopi. -
Yes, usually for my kids I also ensure that they finished the enopi homework within 2 days as they also some other homework to complete. But as usual, for them to thinking math is faster than basic.

I may consider MPM, as it is near to my house.
Just check with MPM, it’s more on to development the skill of kids, so they are more keen on smaller kids, my DD is P3 already, maynot so suitable for her.
Need to investigate more…
