don't worry too much mamatay and fruitplus, RI only released the majority after psle oral last year thru smail. So there's still hope, plus the psle results. Good luck!

Well, it is only 1 DSA, our kids still have a long way to go!
PSLE. O lvl, A lvl, or U exams, whatever it is, it is part of our lives, 1 failure or 1 success does not mean everything, we must keep up our spirits and look at the bright side!

As in the past years, I think that the DSA results will be released close to the dates specified in the DSA process. However, for those who are under the sports domains (or other than academic domains), they may know earlier as the coaches or those in charge of the selection process would have made their decisions shortly after the selection trials and some will inform the students directly prior to the formal notification from the school. -

Fruitplus - I tink I was more heartbroken than son when he was not called for RI round 2. I emailed RI to ask, hoping they missed informing us ..... alas ... still no email fm them. Anyway, hope can hear good news frm NUSH. This DSA is really v torture - why cant the school just tell us ... in or out .... DSA is like buying insurance:thankyou: mamatay and Mathsparks!

Yes, DSA is like buying insurance, in my opinion, it is especially true for those who are not top students, for example, my son.
Yes, I will be disappointed if my son can't get in thru DSA, but that is part and parcel of life.
If he get thru DSA, that is the best, if not, it is not end of the story yet. He still can work hard for PSLE. If he tries his best for PSLE, but still not good enough, may be he is a late bloomer, he still has O lvl, A Lvl and U/Poly. If he still does not do well, look at the some of the successful businessman in S'pore, some of them are not that well-educated, too. Whatever it is, as long as they earn a honest living, it is good enough.
If he get thru DSA, he still has to try his best, and not be proud.
I keep telling myself and my children: be humble, because when 1 is not humble, 1 would be like the rabbit in the rabbit/turtle race. I always tell my children they must not to look down at other people, especially those less educated/earned, they do a lot of jobs that we do not want to do. We can always learn something from everyone, it could be a positive example or a negative example. We learn the good things and avoid doing the bad things.
Cheer up! Be optimistics! Your mood would affect your child, too. Your encouragement is very important to your kid. We have to accept our kid's ability, too.
Sorry being so long-winded.
