No, I got no twins.. Just normal kids in order 1 (daughter), 2 (son), 3 (daughter).. Eldest DD got picked twice at balloting at RGPS (Singapore Citizen got 2 lots). But at least now I can register my other DD at RGPS under phase 1 and son at my former primary school at Phase 2A (Hopefully no need to ballot for those living out of 2km when the time comes?? ) ..

My son is going to P1 in Maris Stella nex yr -- haha -- so i can update you abt MS when your boy is ready to go there. Which year are you registering?

Yes.. I even called to talk to the Principal but there was no exception to be given.. If the number of applicants exceeds, balloting needs to be conducted.. even by 1 girl.. It is sad..

Hi Lionel,

Firstly, congrats for being chosen twice...guess I can imagine your happiness...furthermore you have 2 girls, so it's really worth the while. So because S'poreans get 2 ballot slips now, there will be balloting even if exceed by 1 child. Wow, very strict :shock:

MGS ballot just finished. Unfortunately 4 applicants not picked.


I wish them and all others in that same situation that they come across a a very good school for their kids. Wish them peace of mind and assurance that all will work well.

We went through 2 ballots this time(2b and now 2c).
The first one was not successful so we know well what it feels like.

Praise the Lord for giving grace to my daughter today. She was picked in the last 6 spots.

my dd was in the first few ballot drawn at nyps. :lol: have been ill in the past few weeks fretting about this P1 thingy and I'm glad that I can stop poring over the statistics. i quickly paid up for the pta membership and also volunteered for P1 orientation. so delighted that I just do whatever PTA wants me to do.


told my dd that we parents can only help in getting her into a good primary school and it is now up to her to make a difference when she is in the school. The rat race continues,,,,

sorry for the confusion. I am referring to my second child's registration in 2012. I will apply for PV and stay within 1km.....


Will still do utmost to secure a place for eldest first.....if i fail at p2c supp...i am comtemplating a job with oversea posting lor......at least my children can go to international school.........

TNS also balloted under phase 2B for within 1km

Yah. Think the balloting ratio for 2B and 2C was almost the same (at least for this year). 90+ parents for 60+ seats. And dont forget, you have added competition from SHHK - which Nanyang doesnt have. So TNPS may be more difficult to get in as compared to Nanyang.
