Congratulations to all parents who got into Rosyth!! I am sooo excited now. Any parents know where the uniform shop is? Saw in some posts that it will be a mad rush during orientation day, so hope to go see see look look around first. KS, scared cannot get my son's size....
Seems like Rosyth is quite early in their orientation, quite some schools seem to start only in Nov, some even late Dec. -
A big congratulation to all the kids who got into Rosyth School ! It must have been a heart pounding week for the parents …
My younger gal will be joining the rest of your kids next year in P1 … She is lucky to have got through in Phrase 1 as my elder gal is in P1 this year , and my elder gal was lucky to have got in thru phrase 2A2 , as i was an old gal of Roysth , no balloting required .A big thank you to my old folks any way…
Orientation Day will be on the 23Oct (Sat) this year . Be prepared to bring cash to buy uniforms , new books , bags and shoes… It will be an exciting day for the kids to see their future classmates , get to know which sports house and class they belong to . Your DD/DS 's name tag will be posted together with the confirmation letter . I remembered wearing the tag on my gal during Orientaion morning , and i was like : "My darling was going to be a big gal soon , she will be given her own allowance and counting her own money , buying her own food , choosing her own recess partner ! "A big transition indeed as compared to Kindergarten…
My elder gal is full of praises of her school , and my younger gal is so eager and looking forward to Pr 1 ! Pr 1 generally in Rosyth is not so stressful as compared to other top schools .And the school nutures its kids not only academically but all rounder …I find Rosyth is a rather active school as my gal has excursion outing every term and there’s always involvement for the parents / kids to take part or contribute in a way or another…Eg : There recently was a blood donation day to encourage parents and family to donate blood , and they had this Brownies day selling cookies . For the National Day celebration , it was also a mini sports day for the lower Primary , parents were invited to attend the flag raising ceremony and to cheer for their own kids when they were competing in the race…
To markzh : If you do not want to join in the mad rush , you may want to go to the uniform shop at Serangoon Central just behind the bus interchange to purchase the uniforms…
Sorry for being long winded … Lastly , welcome to the Rosyth family ! See you guys on Orientaion Day ! -

Not long-winded at all, it's very informative. I believe to all the Rosyth parents-to-be, its most wonderful to get 1st hand info from a current Rosythian parent!! I so look forward to orientation day, and hope that I can meet and get to know some of you!! If parents are interested, let's converge our contacts here & meet up maybe just before orientation, let our kids know each other. I believe we can help our kids settle down better if they already know someone before D-day
