Strparent:
I asked the lady that pick up the call if there is 2nd round or interview, she just told me that everything will be stated in the letter. So I think to arrange for 2nd round or interview in Sept would not be possible since PSLE is round the corner. So I presume there isn't. (Hopefully)ptnttsg:
Fyi, just called dhs. I was informed that the co will be sent by letters ard 3rd Sept. No email.
Hi ptnttsg,
Dont they need to go for interview 1st ? :?
have not heard anything since application at all. Waiting and waiting.
( DS was exempted from GAT test. )

hi ptnttsg, thx for info on DHS.
thks Vlim, thks Apple,
halfway there, hoping for the best for all.
DS told me the 3 papers for phase 1 was quite tedious, especially the Abstract Reasoning, some people in his hall was sobbing halfway through the test, so sad.
seems those selected for phase 2, also auto included for phase 2B - the dreaded INTERVIEW, crossed fingers. Luckily not whole day for Camp, prelims still ongoing.

It is a long drawn process and all via email and post. They are either very bogged down by work or just plain inefficient! As for the so called results dates, they are like \"rubber\" - cannot be trusted at all. Unlike HCI and RI who are honest, i can't say the same about them. The poor kids have to focus on their PSLE and they want to conduct interviews in Sep! Go figure!the NJC process is really tedious ..... all the way to Sept ?

It is unfortunate that their DSA process is dragging out so long because they'll be clashing with Prelims. I remember reading from the NJC forum that parents were quite unhappy with the inefficient way things were run at the start of the school this year.

Hi Srtparent,
My DS got through the 2nd round as well. :celebrate:
Just got the email like u did.
Do you have any idea what do the students do on Phase 2A Day Activity? They were asked to wear the PE uniform, will be any physical activity involved? Or will it be like the NUSH Activity day where they do experiments etc. -

gratz to u too. Hope more from this helpful forum will get the good news soon as the emails trickled through the day.
seriously, I have no idea. But considering that the interview is one week later, and they are asked to wear PE attire - I am guessing it's more like a Leadership test and more towards physical activities ? perhaps some team sports, to see how much comradeship they possess ? I do know a good team spirit is more impt to them than individual prowess.
definitely not experiments, I think, as they focus not so much on Science like NUSH or SST.
Anyway, I feel the whole DSA thing has been a great experience for the kids, with the interviews and all. Hope DS learn something. So far, he went for GAT and interview at RI, and enjoyed them thoroughly. His interview was with the principal in her office, 3 boys from different schools at one time, and they were made very relax and comfortable.
DS did not apply for HCI because we heard there will be an interview in Chinese, lol. It turned out, his classmates said that was not true, and the interviews were conducted in English and most breeze through scenario test type questions.
only funny thing is, Dunman has not said anything nor call him up for interview, only an acknowledgement so far. :?
