      Scoobybdoo and Cascada,

Agree with both of you that it is sure not easy to be a parent nowadays. We worry over our kids much more than our parents did over us, given the school environment is so much more complicated now.

Hey, you guys are not alone. I am sure that there are many more parents out there who share your sentiments.

All the best to you and your kids!

      😄

          Cascado and Scoobydoo,

As parents, we will have to put up a brave front cos we do not want them to be discouraged or upset especially at this stage when they need to be at their personal best.

I wld agree with Srtparent that the DSA process is a good exposure for the kids but for most parents, it is also hell to pay when you hv to prepare your child for the tests and interviews and also manage their expectations. It certainly is not an easy thing to do.

We all know there’s many other opportunities out there for them. This is a fact! But we are all worried for their hearts cos u don’t want them to be overly disappointed over this if it doesn’t work out. That’s just part and parcel of being a parent.

I wish these bright 11-12 year olds don’t have to face such challenges so early in life but that the way it is here so we don’t hv a choice but to guide them along.

I wish everyone good luck and all the best.

Do you know how many students got selected for the 2nd round at NJC out of 690 that applied? Also, those selected will go through both day activity and interview, right?

Understand even a baby can feel the mood of an adult. So that's why I'm acting very hard, so not to pass this nervousness to DS who's already very stressed by all the prelims & psle preparation. Die die also must 😎

Even if outcome is not favourable, also can't 😢 , must still continue to act cool and cooler. Just have to keep telling myself what I told DS \"Don't have then don't have lor\".
