While we were at Changi, we used to feel very pai seh when we take a cab home from Changi airport. It's only 5-10 mins drive and around $12... Pity the driver who had to queue to fetch us

But what to do???? We cannot possibly walk home. It's so near and yet so far.

I like spore expo too. I recall gg to those fair (mothercare and expo sales) almost daily simply becoz we are near.

I never get to go to those fair cos i find it troublesome to travel all the way from the west to the east...

I like east coast...my back-then-so-fit-bf-now-dh used to cycle us from simei to east coast...i was of course back-then-super-skinny  😉

My choice for secondary would maybe be TKGS, Dunman High and Victoria School in the east provided my kids can do well enough... If my son's results is average, maybe St Pats (where daddy came from : ) While my daughter (KC?) where mummy came from... Haha I still haven't think of NE schools as I am a Eastender at heart.
Since I had gone through this shortlisting of schools earlier, just to share with you...

The next range of schools (below the Band 1 sec schools) in the East that you can consider are Anglican High, Maris Stella, Dunman Secondary, TKSS, Chung Cheng High and Temasek SS.

Further down the range would be Pasir Ris Crest, Hai Sing Catholic High, St Gabriel and Ngee Ann Secondary.

Why is Ngee Ann down the range? 😐 After all, they did manage to achieve being one of singapore's youngest schools to reach autonomous status. But I do admit the standards have dropped since my time.

I was referring to the MOE banding (2008) - http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/files/2008/09/pr20080921-annex-e2.pdf. Ngee Ann is in band 4.
