Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)
-
Hi
I am thinking of switching my child from berries to busybees whe he is in P3 next yr. I could not locate their website and neither can I get thru the branch at Balmoral. Does anyone know which branch is better in terms of their teachers, class size ? Is it also true that they focused on creative writing instead of teaching from their textbks?
Reason why I am switching was I noticed that my boy started to "switched off" in class this year as he already learnt the lesson in advance at Berries. I do not like this approach of "teaching in advance" as I though enrichment should expose them more to things outside the textbooks. -
Hi Jeestan,
There is no oral presentation but there is performance at the end of every term.
What they perform is what they learn during that term. -

I thought berries teaches things outside textbooks? Cos most of what is covered do not seem to be in my boy's sch lessons - or maybe i lost track of tracking his berries progress when he enters p1  . Thanks to berries, my boy got into one of the top 2 chinese class in his neighbourhood sch despite his atrocious spoken mandarin. I am not looking at him staying there long term, but for now, the priviledge of being in the top 2 classes is the exposure to doing stuff outside of curriculum - i guess - cos my boy has chinese homework everyday, most of which is not merely sch workbook-based.Hi

He does them automatically too, not cos he likes chinese subject, but due to peer pressure. Hee hee. -

Hi titank,
Yes, can I find out more about YuQuan, have you seen any improvement
in your DS’s work…how are the materials like? thanks. -
Was quite surprise that the fee at Yuquan (for kindy level) is $58, compared to others such as berries (about $139 per mth) and eduplus around same as berries or slightly lower.
But I read previous comments, seems that Yuquan emphasize on learning thru memorization?? :?
